West Woodward Airport Ribbon-Cutting

West Woodward Airport (KWWR) is embarking on an exciting journey of transformation. The airport will undergo significant upgrades, including the construction of a new terminal, a corporate hangar, runway extensions, and enhanced taxiways and roads. Funded by Oklahoma's PREP program as well as other state and federal sources, this initiative aims to transform the airport into a modern hub for both business and general aviation. These improvements will foster regional growth by increasing facilities and capacity. The City of Woodward is also focused on enhancing revenue-generating storage, improving infrastructure, and expanding development areas, which will contribute to a promising future for aviation in the community and beyond. The public is encouraged to attend this exciting event benefitting the greater western Oklahoma region.

About West Woodward Airport

Location and Amenities

The West Woodward Airport is located approximately 2.5 miles west of Woodward on Highway OK-15 to Airport Parkway Road. The Woodward Airport offers such amenities as wireless internet, route planning, WSI weather, and a pilot lounge open 7 days a week.

Services

We are equipped with an A&P Certified Mechanic for inspections and on-light field maintenance and repairs. Other services include courtesy cars, jet fuel and 100LL fuel, and overnight hangars.

Celebrating Important Updates

In addition to the terminal building, the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics has supported other key improvements at West Woodward Airport, including a 15,000 square-foot hangar with office space, a taxilane and roadway for a new 40-acre development area, and utility improvements to support the hangar, terminal, and development area.
