Have you ever wanted to learn West Coast Swing (WCS), aka "modern swing"? Yes? What’s West Coast Swing? How did you end up on Facebook again?
Whatever your answer, on January 18th, the BC Swing Dance Club is offering you the chance of a lifetime!
Champion Tessa Cunningham Munroe and AllStar Eric Chisholm will be teaching a 3-hour Beginner Bootcamp for the amazingly low price of $5/person!
And after the bootcamp, we’ll host a beginner dance party for you to practice your new skills! All included in the 5 bucks!

For a mere $5 – the price of 1 organic cucumber – you get a 3-hour crash course in West Coast Swing dancing, taught by a champion and an allstar. AND a social dance.
Where: Bonsor Recreation Complex, 6550 Bonsor Avenue, Burnaby, BC
When: Saturday January 18th, 2025
Doors: 1:45 pm
Beginner Bootcamp: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm (with breaks)
Beginner Social Dance: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
(Open Practice Time: 6:00-7:00 pm)
Other Stuff:
You can show up alone or with friends. No dance partner is needed. We switch partners frequently so you get to know everyone.
Please bring a pair of "inside shoes" to change into (i.e. non-marking dance shoes or sneakers/runners, for example. Something with a relatively flat sole and comfy to move in.)
We will not be providing food, so bring your own snacks and water!
