Werk That Ask! Fundraising 101 for Queer Changemakers
Presented by Patina Fundraising and Queer Business BC
About this Event
Whether you're organizing a grassroots initiative, leading a nonprofit, or championing change in your community, Werk That Ask! is a fun, engaging, and practical introduction to fundraising through a queer lens.
Designed for 2SLGBTQIA+ changemakers, community leaders, and aspiring fundraisers, this interactive workshop takes the mystery (and intimidation) out of raising money. Learn how to tell your story, connect with potential donors, build meaningful relationships, and confidently make the ask—all while staying true to your values and community.
Through real-world examples, practical tips, and a little queer flair, participants will leave with the tools and confidence to turn passion into financial support.
No fundraising experience required. Just bring your ideas, your passion, and your fabulous self!
