Stand-up Tragedy

The last Monday of the month has been our in-person critique group since the Covid (the 'Vid?); however, it's time to mix things up. An open mic sounds vanilla; stand-up sounds fun though many of us are writing novels and poetry.
Can you twist time, space, reality and feelings with words, sounds, ideas... physical expression? If so, we be needin' you!
Bring 5 to 10 minutes of material. Make us laugh, cry, scream, or start that riot you've always wanted to start.
Unsure about a piece or set? This is the place. Tragedy in stand-up is welcome! Chance taking? Yes!
If you want feedback, we got you covered. Ask for what you want and ye shall receive.
Join us in the 2nd floor cafeteria of the Vancouver Community College, Downtown Campus, at 250 West Pender St., Vancouver.
If you can't make it to VCC, we'll put the Zoom link in the Meetup event private chat (you'll have to RSVP to see it), an hour or so before the start of the event.
Bring any ideas for guests, games and theme nights, and if you want to host, help, or run something, let me know.
Shout out to Jim at Red Gate Arts Society for the fantastic name!
WHO: Writers, performers, fringers, comedians & weirdos looking to make friends and connect.
WHEN: every Monday, 7 pm to 9:30.
Thank you for being open & generous with your talent & selves. Much love and respect!
