We're Celebrating FreeWalkers' 15th Anniversary with a Party!

Just like that, 15 years have gone by and FreeWalkers is celebrating!!!

We are so proud and excited to have walked thousands of miles with incredible people for fifteen years! We've built lasting friendships, explored backroads and trails, strolled through historical sites, past city art, across beaches, and so much more.

FreeWalkers was conceived in South Orange when Paul Kiczek met with Mike Kruimer and David Ascher at an East Coast Greenway Alliance meeting. We therefore thought it was quite fitting to celebrate in the town where it all began. And we would love for you to join us!

Party Location: Baird Community Center, 5 Mead Street, South Orange NJ.

Time: 4:00-6:30 PM

Attire: Casual

Cost: $25 per person. Your ticket is non-refundable, but it is transferable if you can't make it. If transferred, kindly let us know who will use your ticket and have that person bring it with them.

Reservations: As this is a catered party, we need to let the cafe know how many guests we expect.

Party Highlights: Finger foods (including vegetarian/vegan options). Beer, wine and soft drinks will also be available.

We also are so excited to share a special video featuring 15 years of walks with people from all over the world coming together. And for fun we will hold a "Free" raffle during the party (you must be there to win)!

Transit: The Baird Center is just two blocks from the South Orange Train Station.The 3:11 PM Midtown Direct train will put you in South Orange at 3:48 with a quick walk to the Baird.

Driving: Free parking at the Baird Center

Time: Walk time TBD and announced. The walk will start and end at the Baird Center entrance in time to make the party. Bathrooms are available for freshening up after your walk. *This walk will require a separate Eventbrite registration .
