About this Event
Wellness Workshop for Caregivers/Parents
Come join us for 90 minutes of self-care and relaxation at our Wellness Workshop for Caregivers/Parents! As parents/caregivers, we often do not prioritize our own needs. This event is designed specifically for caregivers and parents to recharge, reconnect with their bodies, and gain practical tools for self-regulation and emotional resilience. This immersive workshop will combine movement, breathwork, mindfulness practices, and self-care strategies aimed at replenishing the energy of those who often prioritize others' well-being over their own.
Event Goals:
- Empower caregivers and parents to feel supported, seen, and rejuvenated.
- Introduce effective tools for emotional regulation and stress management.
- Promote physical wellness through gentle movement and mindful breathing techniques.
- Encourage connection with a community of like-minded individuals facing similar challenges.
- Provide practical strategies that can be integrated into daily life for ongoing wellness.
About the Instructor:
Emily Webb Olsen, LPC, LCMHC, RYT200
Psychotherapist, Trauma Specialist, and Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher
With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, Emily Webb Olsen is a compassionate and skilled psychotherapist who specializes in trauma and attachment. She works with individuals and couples to address the deep emotional and psychological impacts of trauma, helping clients heal by integrating both mind and body in the therapeutic process.
Emily believes that true healing occurs when we address the body’s role in emotional wellness, which is why she combines her expertise in psychotherapy with her certification as a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher. Drawing from the latest research on trauma and the body, Emily helps clients reconnect with their bodies, release stored trauma, and develop healthier patterns of emotional regulation and self-connection.
In addition to her individual and couples therapy work, Emily provides consultation and supervision for other mental health providers and Residents in Counseling, offering guidance rooted in her deep knowledge of trauma-informed care and attachment theory. She also leads group therapy sessions, workshops, and classes designed to provide mental health support in a supportive, safe space.
Emily's holistic approach to therapy emphasizes the importance of the mind-body connection, helping clients move from a state of survival to a place of healing, resilience, and empowerment. Whether through individual therapy, couples counseling, or community workshops, Emily’s work is dedicated to supporting her clients in building stronger, healthier relationships with themselves and others.
