Eric Victorino is a writer, musician, and storyteller whose work explores memory, identity, grief, love, and the quiet ways people survive. Whether on the page or the stage, his writing balances emotional honesty with vivid imagery, finding moments of beauty in places where others might only see darkness.
Best known as the vocalist and lyricist for the rock band Strata and the electronic duo The Limousines, Victorino has spent more than two decades writing songs that have reached audiences around the world. His lyrical voice has always blurred the line between poetry and music, carrying the same fascination with vulnerability, longing, and resilience that defines his written work.
He is the author of Coma Therapy and Trading Shadows for Sunshine, collections that reflect his enduring interest in the complexities of the human experience. His poetry often moves between the deeply personal and the universal, inviting readers to recognize themselves in stories of heartbreak, hope, and transformation.
He lives in San José, California, with his wife, their two children, and an ever-growing collection of notebooks filled with ideas waiting to become stories.
Downtown SJ provides free parking on the street after 6:00 p.m. Available street parking is difficult to find after 6:30 p.m.
If you are unable to find parking on the street, there are two parking garages of note:
1.) 25 S. 3rd Street PARKSJ Garage (located underground, under The Globe Apartments), about 300 meters from Works/San Jose;
2.) 2nd & San Carlos PARKSJ Garage (first 90 minutes are free). This is a 5-10 minute walk to Works/San Jose.
