Welding Wednesday - open welding hours - Staten Island

For experienced welders and those who have taken a welding class with us before, come work on your project in our Staten Island shop!
About this Event

This is not a class, but an opportunity for anyone who has taken one of our welding classes, or those with previous welding experience to join us in our Staten Island metal shop for some open welding hours. Bring a project you're working on, or, if you just want to practice your chops, you can purchase some inexpensive mild steel from us.

We'll provide gas, MIG wire, and electrodes for stick and TIG welding. We have PPE but feel free to BYO if you'd prefer. Experienced staff will be on hand for guidance as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Open to experienced welders or those who have taken a welding class with MakerSpace, ages 18+. Participants must come to class with appropriate attire, which includes closed-toe leather or suede shoes, long cotton pants, cotton shirt, and hair tied back (please no synthetics).

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS:

Limited to 6 welders. Minimum 2. We reserve the right to cancel this event if we do not have the minimum amount of participants. If we cancel, we will refund you and notify you. You may cancel and get a refund up to seven days before the class. After that, refunds are contingent on us being able to fill your seat. Under no circumstances do we offer refunds to individuals who cancel on the same day. Please note, Eventbrite fees are non-refundable if you cancel.
