Welcome to the Neighborhood: The Mahjong Social Club (Guided & Open Play)

A new community is forming around one of the most social games there is. Showdown Social, the newest Mahjong spot in town, will celebrate the release of the 2026 HMJL American Mahjong card, traditional Hong Kong Mahjong game play, and welcome new players to the table.

Join us for Welcome to the Neighborhood: The Mahjong Social Club event at Showdown Social. Whether you are brand new to the game or already love to play, this event is designed to bring people together in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere filled with good food and drinks, conversation, connection, and community.

Guided/Open Play

Already know the game? Pull up a chair or bring your crew and enjoy open tables where players can relax, socialize, practice, and connect with other Hong Kong and American Mahjong players in the community.

What is included

We will provide everything you need to play. If you have a 2026 NMJL card, please bring it with you. We will have some to borrow and a few to purchase.

You will be given a drink ticket for one cocktail on the house. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

We welcome you to come in early for a bite to eat or to stay afterwards for dinner.
