Weekend Wellness with the McDonough Walking Club

The McDonough Walking Club invites you to our monthly Weekend Wellness Health initiative, supported by The City of McDonough and the District 4 Department of Public Health. We aim to promote physical activity for McDonough citizens regardless of their fitness level.

This event will be hosted by the Henry County NAACP Health Committee. Their goal is to provide accessible ways for our community to take charge of their health. This event is part of an ongoing initiative by the Henry County NAACP to address key health disparities affecting African American and underserved communities, including high rates of hypertension, diabetes, and obesity. The Health Committee aims to bring health education and preventive care directly to the people who need it most, while continuing to offer programs throughout the year focusing on wellness, prevention, and mental health.
