New this November: Wednesdays in the woods for ages 4–13! 🌲 Nature education and survival skills, led by caring, experienced teachers. Discovery Day: $50. Limited-time offer: 50% off membership through November 30.
A Discovery Day is a whole morning in class with us, not a visit. Your child joins our Wednesday crew for real outdoor skills:
🧭 Navigation and map-making: kids draw their own map of the woods, invent its symbols, then tell stories from it
🏕️ Shelter building and team challenges, where kids solve problems together and rely on each other
🌿 Forest Ranger missions: tell native from invasive plants and help restore the forest
🪶 Traditional tracking, primitive tools and the native peoples of Virginia, the heart of our November theme
🥾 Leave No Trace challenges to earn a Forest Ranger badge
Nature is our classroom. Safe. Joyful. Curious.
Mixed ages from 4 to 13 learn side by side, so it's a great fit for homeschool families with siblings of different ages: older kids lead, younger kids are inspired.
Wednesday Nov 11 and Wednesday Nov 18. $50 per child for the day.
Mechanicsville – Old Church area. Families from Hanover and Henrico counties, Richmond and Chesterfield make the drive.
After the trial, join our community on Wednesdays, or combine with our Tuesday/Thursday groups (ages 2.5–5 and 5–9).
Limited-time offer: 50% off membership through November 30. The sooner you start, the more you enjoy it.
To book, email [email protected] or text/call 804-791-8439.
