Wearable Maps: Upcycled Jewelry Workshop
About this Event
Join the City of Issaquah as we learn how to turn old maps into one-of-a-kind jewelry!
This is a free, hands-on workshop where participations will learn how to upcycle maps and other paper to create beads to turn into statement jewelry pieces! While you craft, discover simple ways to upcycle everyday items and learn tips for reducing, reusing, and repairing from a local sustainability expert.
All ages are welcome. Children under 16 must attend with an adult. All supplies are provided and you’ll take home your handmade creations!
Registration is not required, but is encouraged to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone.
This event supports Issaquah's waste diversion goal of diverting 70% of all city waste away from landfills by 2030, and 90% by 2050. By encouraging reuse, this program supports waste prevention efforts and furthers progress to our climate goals.
