We Will See the Woods for the Trees! A Walk Through Lambeth’s Woodlands
About this Event
Walk: Meet at the Rookery Café, Streatham Rookery, Streatham Common South, SW16 3BX
Iain Boulton leads a gentle and enlightening walk through some of Lambeth’s most important woodlands, including Streatham Common and Unigate Wood, to discover their rich and colourful history, how they have changed over time and what the future holds for them.
Dr Iain Boulton is the Biodiversity and Environmental Compliance Manager for Lambeth Council’s Parks and Open Spaces Service. He has worked at the council for over 24 years and is responsible for helping manage and improve Lambeth’s 78 parks, commons and other public open spaces. Iain is also responsible for looking after and promoting the wildlife and biodiversity of Lambeth, not just in our parks and open spaces, and has a particular interest in how we can change the way we manage land to benefit not just wildlife, but also people’s access to and enjoyment of it.
Free, but donations welcome to London Wildlife Trust, in memory of the late Mathew Frith, a great advocate for London’s woodlands.
