About this Event

Bosnian Genocide Commemoration — Remembering Srebrenica

Join us for a heartfelt event as we come together to remember Srebrenica and honour the victims of the Bosnian Genocide. It's a moment to reflect, learn, and stand united in the spirit of peace and reconciliation. Don't miss this chance to connect from anywhere and be part of an important conversation. Let's keep the memories alive and spread awareness.

On Monday 20 July 2026, we gather at Pegasus House in Leicester to remember the more than 8,000 men and boys lost in the genocide at Srebrenica in July 1995, an atrocity recognised in international law as genocide. We come together to honour their memory, to stand with survivors and their families, and to reaffirm our shared commitment that such crimes must never be repeated.

The evening will also feature a selection of works from the Humanity Cartoons Exhibition, an international art competition organised by Time to Help, Human Rights Solidarity, and Dialogue Society. The exhibition showcases cartoons that capture the struggles, resilience, and dreams of migrants worldwide.
