Join me at the beautiful Sorrel Stores on Wednesday 13 November from 6-8pm to learn traditional wax carving techniques and make a pendant in wax ready to cast.
A 2hr fun evening workshop with all materials provided! All are welcome and no experience is necessary...
A graduate of the Birmingham School of jewellery, I have been a bespoke fine jewellery designer for over 12 years whilst designing and selling my own collections internationally and teaching workshops at various venues and festivals.
There is no design or making experience necessary, you will be guided through the whole process including design inspiration if you are unsure what you would like to make. Students often comment how meditative and relaxing it can be working with the wax and their hands.
Lost wax casting is an ancient jewellery making technique, and the workshop is a perfect intro to jewellery making for anyone age 16+
Have your wax model cast + finished by me afterwards if you choose, for an additional £35 plus the silver or gold cost calculated by the weight of your piece on the day. If you choose to go ahead and cast your piece the total cost for the session, plus your finished piece is usually between £85 and £100 depending on how big and heavy your final design is.
You can choose your style of silver chain on the evening price from £12-40 each, you can choose to add gemstones, engraving and 19ct gold plating on the evening at extra cost too
Your design is usually ready to collect from my Worcester studio within 2-3 weeks of the workshop and can also be posted to you.
My workshops are also available for private groups or one to one at your home, my Worcestershire studio or your venue of choice. I can be booked for hen do's, retreats and other private events.
