Full day Workshop on how to paint animals in watercolour
Whether you want to learn to paint your pet, your favourite farm animal or animals in the wild, in this workshop we will be exploring the fundamentals of watercolour techniques, how to to understand their proportions, and creating a fresh and lively painting our furry friends.
You will need need:
Paints - in tubes only.
A minimum of three primary colours, red, blue and yellow with a warm and cool of each, plus an earth colour.
Choose at least one colour from each line from the list below, and bring along whatever you already have.
Ultramarine blue/ cobalt blue
Cerulean blue/manganese blue
Cadmium red/spectrum red
Alizarin/Rose madder
Cadmium yellow/spectrum yellow/Hansa yellow/Aso yellow
Burnt umber
Yellow ochre/Australian red gold/raw Sienna
Burnt Sienna
White
Watercolour paper - 300gsm, medium.
Brands: Arches/Canson/Saunders/Fabriano
One full large sheet cut into quarters, each piece measuring approximately 37 x 26cm or, a watercolour pad around that size.
One small fine spray bottle
One pencil for sketching
One black ink waterproof pen 0.3, 0.5, or 0.7 is ideal but slightly thicker than these is alright.
One sketching pad, loose paper, or mixed media paper
