Watercolour Sunflowers Workshop
Led by local artist Zoë Duncan, this workshop offers a calm and welcoming space to learn, experiment, and enjoy the process of painting. Focusing on this much-loved summer flower, you’ll be guided through the techniques needed to capture its character in your own expressive way.
Over the course of the session, Zoë will introduce the foundations of watercolour painting, alongside more expressive approaches such as lifting colour to create soft highlights and using negative painting to build depth and atmosphere. With a balance of demonstration and individual guidance, you’ll be supported throughout as your painting develops.
Zoë is a highly experienced and thoughtful teacher, known for her ability to put people at ease and encourage a natural, intuitive approach to painting. Whether you’re completely new to watercolour or looking to develop your skills, this is a space to build confidence and enjoy working at your own pace.
There’s a gentle rhythm to the session, with time to pause, reflect, and enjoy the process, alongside refreshments thoughtfully sourced from local producers — a small but meaningful part of the experience.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own sunflower painting, along with new techniques and a sense of creative ease that you can carry into future work.
