This class is an invitation to slow down.We’ll begin by creating loose, colorful backgrounds using watercolor paint. There’s no pressure for perfection here - just flowing color, soft layers, and a little room to breathe. Once your background is complete, you’ll add zentangle-inspired patterns using pen, marker, or colored pencil.
What is Zentangle?
Zentangle is a meditative art practice built around drawing simple, repetitive patterns. Because the designs are created one stroke at a time, the process naturally encourages focus, calm, and presence. Many people find it deeply relaxing and grounding - less about the finished piece, and more about how it feels to make it.
This class is designed with relaxation and stress reduction in mind. Instruction is gentle and approachable, with plenty of time to work at your own pace. Whether you’re brand new to watercolor or someone who already loves drawing patterns, you’ll leave with a finished piece that feels both expressive and peaceful.

Snacks & Sips: Feel free to bring your favorite snacks and drinks to enjoy while you create. The Studio is BYOB for guests 21+.
Parking: On street meter parking is available on Elizabeth Ave. Free on street parking is available on Chelsea Ave. Free lot parking is located behind the building.
Locating the Studio: We suggest entering the building from Ruch St. entrance (the back of the building). Use the elevator directly inside the building to the right. This is the only elevator that will take you to the 4th floor. If you enter the building from Elizabeth Ave, and take the elevator in the hallway, please note that the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor.
* A note about Sunday Classes - the Ruch St. (rear of building) entrance is closed on Sunday's. Please enter through the E. Elizabeth St entrance.*
