About this Event
Join artist Jon Seals for an inspiring watercolor workshop at the beautiful Brooker Creek Preserve. This immersive, hands-on experience invites participants to observe and paint the vibrant flora of the preserve while connecting with the materials and the environment.
Designed for artists of all experience levels, the workshop encourages freedom of expression and personal style. Participants will experiment with watercolor techniques demonstrated by Jon, exploring strategies that embrace the fluid and unpredictable qualities of the medium. By letting the materials take the lead—including the use of locally collected water—attendees will discover ways to respond intuitively and work in harmony with nature.
Cost is $25/person. Space is limited to 12 participants, ensuring individualized guidance and a focused creative atmosphere. Painting materials will be provided, so simply bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore. But if you have a favorite brush, please feel free to bring and use it! By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a unique painting inspired by the preserve and the shared experience of the time together. To foster community, participants will also exchange a small painting with one another as a meaningful keep-sake.
Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, experiment with watercolor, and explore the beauty of Brooker Creek Preserve through artistic observation.
Reserve your spot today and embrace a few hours of creativity, connection, and natural inspiration!
