Learn watercolor techniques from Sue Selvey, the artist behind OFAC’s current exhibition, World Wayfarer. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the fundamentals of color theory while discovering how watercolor behaves on paper.
Students will become familiar with different types of watercolor brushes, practice a variety of brushstrokes, and learn how adjusting pigment and water ratios creates different levels of color saturation. Sue will introduce three essential watercolor techniques, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and dry brush, before guiding participants in creating their own beautiful sunset dock painting. This fun and supportive workshop is perfect for beginners and emerging young artists. $50 per person
