Explore the world of watercolor painting alongside teaching artist Kim Vander Linden with painting projects designed to support creative experimentation! Kim will provide feedback, demonstrations, and foster peer communication while guiding you through foundational concepts in composition, color, and intention. You’ll also learn essential skills like expressive brushstrokes, edges, negative space, value, atmosphere, and mood. This is a six-part course that will be taught on six consecutive Wednesdays: January 15, January 22, January 29, February 5, February 12, and February 19, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This class is for ages 16 and over. The cost of the six-part course is $200 per person. All skill levels are welcome (including beginners) and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th Street, Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.
