About this Event

Join us (King County's Noxious Weeds Program)for an evening of discovery and learning about the various aquatic plants that call our local waters home. This in-person workshop will take place at the Ross Park Playfield Shelterhouse (Seattle, Fremont/Ballard neighborhood) on Thursday June 25th 2025 at 6 PM.

With over 20 live samples and a comprehensive printed guide, participants will gain hands-on experience in identifying various types of water weeds and their native counterparts. By the end of the training, our hope is that participants will be confident in spotting new infestations of water weeds so we can work as a community to prevent them from spreading. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or just curious about aquatic plants, this event is perfect for all skill levels.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge of aquatic flora, connect with fellow plant lovers, and appreciate the importance of these plants in our ecosystem. . .see you there!
