About this Event
Water and the Trent Lands: An Introduction
This event is presented as part of Dis-Orientation week 2025, hosted by Inwendaamin Oki. The event will be broken into two separate segments, one occurring from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, and another from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.
Each segment will begin with a ceremony led by Elder Dorothy Taylor, who will share drum songs and water teachings. Following the ceremony, folks will be invited on a guided walk through the Trent Lands, learning about key water features and the importance of water within these natural spaces on campus. Light refreshments will be provided, but it is encouraged that folks bring their own water.
This event is perfect for Trent students and community members seeking to better understand the natural areas around campus, and the role water plays within them.
We will be offering to livestream portions of this event for those who are not able to make it in person, and a zoom link will be made available to those who register. If you have any questions or concerns about this event feel free to contact us by email at [email protected] or @inwendaamin.oki on Instagram.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on October 3rd!
