About this Event

Calling all prairie enthusiasts

We're back for another round of prairie appreciation this year as we gather with The Watershed Center, City of Longmont, and local researchers for an evening exploring grassland ecosystems near Longmont, CO.

We'll meet at Jim Hamm Nature Area on August 19, 2025 at 5:30 PM, then shuttle in vans to two nearby destinations before returning you to your vehicles at 7:30pm. Along the way, we’ll hear from City of Longmont staff and local researchers about the work they’re doing to protect open spaces and restore native ecosystems.

Explore prairie stewardship in action, ask questions, and get inspired! Light snacks will be provided, but please come prepared with a water bottle and sturdy, closed-toe shoes—walking portions of the tour are short, but often over uneven ground.

We can't wait to connect with you!
