About this Event
One quarter of total final energy consumption in Europe is consumed by industry. Within that quarter, over 80% is consumed by heating and cooling processes. The continued wide-scale use of gas, oil, coal, and other fossil fuels for industrial thermal processes leads to an estimated greenhouse gas (GHG) emission of 513 Mt CO2 equivalent per year, equating to around 60% of the total industrial GHG emissions and 12% of total GHG emissions in the EU.
Waste heat recovery and utilisation can yield a significant decrease in carbon emissions, and at the same time increase energy system flexibility and security.
Join us for a transformative one-day conference focused on harnessing the vast, untapped potential of waste heat and the opportunities to utilise it to decarbonise industry.
The Conference
This conference is a unique opportunity to address the multifaceted challenges of capturing and utilising waste heat from industrial processes.
Key topics will include
- Efficient heat extraction
- Seasonal heat storage solutions.
- Social impacts and public perception.
- Future Technologies.
- Developing policy and the regulatory framework.
We are bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders including government officials, industry experts, researchers, local authorities, policy makers, consumer advocates, and energy suppliers. Attendees will engage in presentations, discussions, and networking sessions aimed at testing research findings and formulating policy recommendations.
Don’t miss this chance to be part of the conversation shaping the future of clean energy in the UK. Register now to secure your place and contribute to a sustainable energy future.
