This years events are:
Anvil of Apotheosis (Character Building Event)
Create a unique hero to lead your army or breathe life into your favourite character from a Black Library novel! Over the month of February, build your chosen character ready to be judged at the Store Anniversary. Our staff will be on hand over the month to help craft your hero and you learn the building skills needed to kitbash your conversion. This is a perfect opportunity to earn the Build your way stamp for Battle Honours!
Characters need to be brought in during the Store Anniversary for photographs and judging and will earn you one of the coveted Anniversary badges*!
Colourblind Daemon (Randomised painting challenge)
Our yearly Store Anniversary painting competition returns! Pick a random character pack from our blind bag, then two paints from the Colourblind Daemon bag. The character will be the model you’ll buy, build and paint for the challenge, while the two colours represent the main and accent colours you should be aiming for! You then have the month of February to paint up your model ready to present it at the Store Anniversary for judging! Not only will you earn an Anniversary badge*, but your completed model will also count towards the 1 Million Miniatures challenge! This activity also counts as a Paint your way stamp for Battle Honours!
Miniature of the Month: Warpstorm (Build activity)
Celebrate the past year’s worth of Miniature of the Month with the opportunity to build some survivors from the year! Alongside our normal Miniature of the Month offer, we will have some remaining models from previous months ready to be built! Bring down a friend or family member to try building their first model as part of Call to Arms, and you’ll get to build an additional Miniature from the Warpstorm!
Speed Daemon (Speed Painting Challenge)
The 1 Million Miniatures challenge has encouraged everyone to paint faster! Time to showcase those skills. You will have 30 minutes to paint a mystery model using the resources provided! Bringing a friend unlocks extra resources for you both. The Call to Arms rings out, and bringing a brand new person trying painting for the first time unlocks the full suite of hobby resources for yourself while they get expert hands on hobby advice painting their first model! Over the month of February you can hone the skills needed to paint this fast, either as mini drop-in skills sessions in store or during our many set hobby clinics you can book in for.
Please note that during the Weekends, there will be limited slots available for the Speed Daemon, so please book ahead!
Trial of the Gods (Play activity)
Few have been able to stand proud before a single Chaos God, fewer still have been able to best the embodiments of each God one after another. Who would you bring to the battlefield to face all four Greater Deamons, one after another?
For this activity you would need to bring a single unit ready to take on all 4 Greater Deamons. You will need to pick if you will be playing Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and bring the appropriate rules for your unit. You will face each one after another, with no time to rest or recuperate between bouts. The goal is to lay them all low, or at least cause the most wounds before your seemingly inevitable defeat! Bringing a friend unlocks greater power, as both of you get to use a single unit each! If through Call to Arms you bring someone down to try playing Warhammer for the first time, they can use one of our special store champion models to fight alongside you and lend their support! The top performers will be declared the Store Play Champions for the year!
