For each week of this league, you will be scheduled ONE game to play with another player in the league. Your first few matches will be simplified small scale battles. This will give you loads of time to ask questions and learn everything to prepare yourself for full scale battle!
You will start with 250 points (a small army) and learn the bare basics of the game – the different phases of combat, how many dice to roll when defending and attacking, and how your models interact with the battlefield! Staff will be on-hand to ensure your learning experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible!
Weeks 1 and 2 will take place at the 250 point level, weeks 3 and 4 will take place at 500, 5 and 6 at 750, and then the final four weeks (7, 8, 9, 10) will all take place at 1,000 points so you can fully get a feel for the game of Warhammer 40k!
One week after the final matches are played, we will be hosting a closing ceremony where over 500 dollars of prize support will be handed out to winners of various accolades!
Ready to fight for the galaxy? Come by our Player's Meeting on January 11th! Staff will be available to show you how to build your miniatures, and walk you through the basics of the game! Just a few days later, on the 14th, the League will begin! After 10 weeks of games, final results will be due on March 24th with the ultimate prize ceremony taking place on March 29th.
RULES:
While we do not have a traditional entry fee associated with this league, your eligibility will be contingent on supporting the store with periodic purchases. In order for a model to be legally declared for use in your list, you must have purchased it via Heroes and Villains at any point after November 28th, 2025. Be sure to register your purchases with a Heroes and Villains staffer to ensure their eligibility!
This league will be using Longshanks, a tournament hosting website, in order to provide pairings and score matches. Please note that your eligibility for prize support will not solely be based on your Win/Loss record, but many additional factors as well! There will be prizes for several different honors you can claim throughout the course of the league!
Pairings will be posted two at a time. Every two weeks, you will get two pairings made for you on the same day. You are then able to play either of your two next opponents whenever it is convenient for both parties. For instance, on Wednesday, January 14th, you will get both your week 1 and week 2 pairings. You will then have until Tuesday, January 27th to report your wins and losses for the 2 week period, but feel free to report them as soon as you finish each game!
Our store Discord will be an invaluable tool during the league. Please make sure you join if you’re playing! This will be how you reach out to fellow members of the league, and will be especially paramount when coordinating times for yourself and your opponent to schedule your matches!
We will also be using the Discord at the end of the league to poll players on who they believe was the best sport throughout the league – the most voted player will win a prize, but in order to win, they must meet two extra criteria: they must have played all of their games, and they must have voted for someone else for the award. Being a good sport could mean offering to shake your opponent’s hand after a tough match, being graceful in defeat and victory, helping out where you can, and just overall being a good person to your fellow players.
Things happen and sometimes you may not have the time to get a match in with your opponent: whether it’s a scheduling conflict or you have gone out of town, it’s incredibly important that you reach out to your opponent and a Heroes & Villains staffer and let them know you won’t be able to play. We have a 2-strike policy on “ghosting” your opponents – if you “no-call-no-show” twice during the league, you will be removed from the league, and your opponent will be assigned an auto win.
In addition, all players who participate and finish all of their games will receive a commemorative prize to reward their attendance and commitment to the league!
PRIZE SUPPORT:
Grand Champion (1st Place - Gold): Heavy Support (Maximum $80 value)

We care most about our players taking good care of each other, so to put that on the biggest pedestal, to break any ties, we will be using sportsmanship votes. Players can win multiple prizes if they are voted into multiple prizes. In order to be awarded for a sportsmanship prize, you must have voted yourself to be eligible.
Prizes will be awarded during the closing ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, March 29th! If you are interested in participating in the hobbyist competitions, please bring your eligible models in for scoring on that day!
For those interested in playing in the league, please visit the Channels & Roles section in our Discord and click the button indicating that you'd like to join! That will give you access to the associated roles and channels necessary to enter!
