War and Urbanism: The Boudican Revolt and the Reconstruction of Londinium

This talk explores archaeologists' interpretations of Roman London in the AD 60s, as the inhabitants returned and rebuilt their homes and businesses following the destruction of the city during the Boudican Revolt. It puts the hypothesis that London was a city in ruins under scrutiny to examine whether archaeologists were arguing from the evidence, or from their own assumptions.
