“This is a pivotal time in Alzheimer’s research and care. For the first time, we have treatments that can help change the course of the disease,” said Josh Cox, Walk Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter. “We invite everyone in our community to walk with us, form a team, and help raise funds for those impacted by Alzheimer’s. Every step moves us closer to a cure.”
Walk day features the inspiring Promise Garden ceremony, where participants raise brightly colored flowers to represent their personal connection to Alzheimer’s. This moving tradition symbolizes hope and the shared commitment to ending the disease.
