Each year during Hunger Action Month, volunteers and organizations across our community come together for an all-day food repack to feed thousands of our neighbors...and to wear orange, the color of hunger awareness! Each volunteer receives an Operation Orange bandana.
Operation Orange is made possible with support from Christie Clinic, Commerce Bank, Farm Credit Illinois, Meijer, RE/MAX, and Spiros Law.
Shift times are:
9 - 10 AM
10:30 - 11:30 AM
12 - 1 PM
1:30 - 2:30 PM
3 - 4 PM
4:30 - 5:30 PM
Your support puts food on tables and smiles on faces throughout the year. In addition to giving your time, we invite you to help us buy more nutritious food for our volunteers to repack by donating to EIF (https://www.eifoodbank.org/action/donate/). Every $1 provides three meals to a neighbor experiencing hunger.
The repacks will be in our volunteer center at 2405 North Shore Dr; please follow event signage and enter at the large "VOLUNTEER CENTER" street sign.
