About this Event
The East London Garden Society is doing its best to provide, through the expanse of east London's nature, the beauty for all to see by walking with us on many of the trail ways that we name The Great Eastern Parks Route.
We are to establish our next walk, commencing at The Bethnal Green Library, on 6th May 2024, Bank Holiday Monday, from 12.00 hours.
We shall be learning about the second oldest gardens in London, walking along the end of the soon to be London Highline, through to Meath Gardens, from Meath Gardens we shall be travelling through Victoria Park onto The Greenway. Following The Greenway to The Channelsea River, finally ending up in West Ham Park. At West Ham Park we will be entering The Newham Green Fair, learning about the 150th birthday of West Ham Park. This walk will celebrate the National Park City week in London, bringing all who love nature together, and meeting people who have a belief that London can be made more desirable if we applaud the nature we have within its boundaries. So come and meet with us on the day to understand what many are involved with in promoting our natural treasures.
