Hi everyone,
I'm arranging another 'Walk Of Light' for March 2026. It's a 5km walk, where we hopefully raise as much money as possible for Blood Cancer UK. They fund research and supporting those affected by Blood Cancer. Since 1960, they've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives like mine. Right now, they are funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough.
Last time we started and finished the walk at Mathew Nutter's bench (near the 4g pitches), we plan to do the same this year.
Everyone can bring their own lights/lanterns/torches etc to light up Frickley!
With the aim of making as much money for the charity as possible there is a £5 donation requested to take part, and I will also try and organise a bit of a raffle closer to the time. Children/dogs are of course welcome 😊
We have raised over £1250 over the last 2 walks, so would love to try and raise another £500 this year.
