About this Event

Join us for a 'Walk & Talk Wednesday hosted by Maxine @maxine_greaves3

DISTANCE : 11km with around 375m of ascent and descent.

DURATION: Around 4 hours depending on the pace of the group, the weather and how many stops we have!

MEETING : 10am start time from the junction of Dubbs Road with Moorhowe Road (LA23 1JT?). Please note there is limited parking so please car share if possible and park sensibly.

WALK DESCRIPTION:

We will start by walking up the Dubbs Road and the Garburn Pass track. After summiting Sallows and Sour Howes, we will descend to the Dubbs Road back to the cars.

All welcome, but you should be fit enough to walk for around 4 hours on uneven, mountainous terrain. Both the ascent and descent are steep in places but the walk will be at a gentle pace with plenty of pauses to look at the views. And we will stop for snacks/lunch.

PLEASE BRING:

Lunch and snacks

Water/drink of choice. It would be a good idea to bring a hot drink.

Good walking boots/shoes, comfortable clothing (not jeans), a waterproof jacket and trousers and hats/gloves/extra layers/sunscreen. Walking poles may be useful.

Any Medic*tion you may need.

Please note, if the weather is bad Maxine may change the route or cancel the walk.
