Walk and Draw is a guided observational drawing workshop that invites you to slow down and connect with your surrounds.
About this Event

Wander through some of Mandurah’s iconic waterside locations in this guided Walk and Draw event. Professional artist and illustrator Angharad Neal-Williams will guide participants through the space along accessible pathways, pausing along the way to draw moments, scenes, landscapes and found objects. Throughout this experience, receive practical drawing tips and gentle prompts to help you capture what you see with confidence, resulting in small drawings and sketches, as well as a more resolved drawing using the skills you’ve gained.

Session information:

This session will take place on the Eastern Foreshore.

The meeting point will be the car park on Mandurah Terrace, between Tuckey Street and Gibson Street. Note that this is a busy car park, so please allow time to park nearby and walk to this location (ensure you check parking signs for time limits!)

This walk is expected to be approximately 500 metres return, heading south toward the Mandurah Bridge. There are sufficient footpaths for accessibility purposes. There may be times when walking/sitting on the grassed areas is preferred to maintain safe path access for other members of the public.

What to bring:

Please bring a hat, sunscreen, water and wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

If you'd like to sit while drawing, you are welcome to bring an outdoor folding chair to carry on the walk.

Angharad will have basic drawing supplies for your use, however you are welcome to bring your own if you'd like.
