Walk and Draw - Coodanup Foreshore
About this Event
Wander through some of Mandurah’s iconic waterside locations in this guided Walk and Draw event. Professional artist and illustrator Angharad Neal-Williams will guide participants through the space along accessible pathways, pausing along the way to draw moments, scenes, landscapes and found objects. Throughout this experience, receive practical drawing tips and gentle prompts to help you capture what you see with confidence, resulting in small drawings and sketches, as well as a more resolved drawing using the skills you’ve gained.

Session information:
This session will take place at Coodanup Foreshore.
The meeting point will be the car park closest to Wanjeep Street, on the Western end of the reserve. There is additional parking along Peel Parade. There is an accessible bathroom on the other end of the intended walking trail.
This walk is expected to be approximately 1 kilometre return, and the footpaths are a combination of paving, gravel and compacted earth. There may be times when walking/sitting on the grassed areas is preferred to maintain safe path access for other members of the public.
Stick around after this event to enjoy Wind and Story, a free community concert by Mandurah Concert Band and Winjan Aboriginal Corporation. This event will also feature a suasage sizzle fundraiser and children's activities.
What to bring:
Please bring a hat, sunscreen, water and wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
If you'd like to sit while drawing, you are welcome to bring an outdoor folding chair to carry on the walk.
Angharad will have basic drawing supplies for your use, however you are welcome to bring your own if you'd like.
