About this Event
Come join us in beautifying the Roberto Adobe & Sunol House Museum by planting over 150 plants! More than 70% of the plants are native to the Santa Clara Valley to support local pollinators and showcase ethnobotany. Ethnobotany is the study of how plants are used traditionally for food, medicine, shelter, dyes, tools, and much more! Inspired by the historic site, this new museum garden project will also incorporate imported plants from Spain, Mexico, and internationally to represent the plants that have been cultivated during various eras. No green thumb required - just bring your energy and enthusiasm. Let's make a difference together!
Planting demonstrations and tips will be presented by gardening experts. Free parking behind the museum or street parking is available. Free water and sandwiches available during a 30 minute lunch break.
