Palmer Park Doggie Health & Wellness Fair: Free Fun for Dogs & Dog Lovers!

Join People for Palmer Park's Unleashed Dog Park team for an afternoon of fun and enrichment for all dog owners and dogs (all dogs must be leashed for this event!). Don't have a dog? There will be many dogs to meet and fun for all ages!

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Can you help for a few hours (or all day?). Please sign up for a shift by clicking the red 'reserve a spot' button!
Location: Outside the Palmer Park Community House & Splash Park, 990 Merrill Plaisance, Detroit 48203. Free parking.

Time: The event takes place from 10 am-3 pm, but we need volunteers who can help set up our tents, tables and displays at 8 am, staff our People for Palmer Park/Unleashed Dog Team tables (give away treats to the dogs!), and help with cleanup/breakdown at 3-4:30 pm.There will be a low-cost doggie vaccine/health clinic, food, lots of doggie giveaways, and dog-oriented fun for all. Dogs must be leashed on a 5-ft or shorter leash and under the full control of an adult at all times.

Low-cost Vaccinations for first 250 dogs!Low-cost Vaccinations (DHLPP, FVRCP,Rabies) and Microchips (while they last) from the Michigan Humane and partners will be provided for the first 250 dogs. Suggested donation is $30. but no one will be turned away.

All clinics are first-come, first-served between 12-3 pm.

Please bring your pet's records to the event.

Fair & Fun: We will give away gift bags so you can fill it with doggie treats for the first 500 dogs, and you can visit dog vendors who will add more items to your bags!

Requirements for the event: All dogs must be on a 5 ft. or shorter leash and under full control of an adult at all times. No aggressive dogs or dogs in heat. Read complete guidelines. All dogs must be leashed at all times in Palmer Park. The only place where they may be unleashed is in the new Palmer Park Unleashed Dog Park located on Seven Mile Rd just west of the 12th Precinct Police Station.!
