About this Event
Date: July 13, 10 am-12:30pm
Location: Wooded Island, 6401 S. Stony Island Ave., Chicago, IL 60637. Meet at the south end of the Garden of the Phoenix (aka Osaka Garden).
80 volunteers will assist with mulching 100 trees and picking up trash.
More about Wooded Island: The original Jackson Park and Wooded Island were created for the Great World’s Fair of 1893. More than 250 species of birds have been spotted here. It is also home to Yoko Ono's art piece . Let's work together to help keep this wildlife area surrounded by blue lagoons instead of Goo Lagoons. You can read more about the island here!

Day-of instructions
- Dress code: Wear long sleeves and long pants to protect yourself from the sun and the wilderness.
- Parking is at the east side of the Museum of Science and Industry. Park and walk around to the north side of the museum to the north bridge of Wooded Island.
- Our nonprofit partners will provide supplies for mulching and trash pickup.
* *YOU MUST HAVE A TICKET FROM EVENTBRITE TO ATTEND THE EVENT. Please do not attempt to attend the event without a ticket.**
