Volunteers will help maintain trail corridors by pruning and clearing overgrown vegetation to improve safe and visible access along park trails, including ADA-accessible routes. We will be using loppers, hand pruners, hand saws, McLeods, and rakes to clear the trails. Work will be done with care to protect native plants while removing invasive weeds and vegetation. This may include targeted hand removal of invasive species to help protect habitat while achieving our trail maintenance goals. Please note: this event will require a short but moderately steep hike up to the bluff-top preserve trails.
There are no restrooms in the area we will be working in, but there are restrooms available at the county beach. Ages 14 and older welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and have waivers signed by their guardian). Parking is limited, carpooling encouraged if joining with family or friends.
Full opportunity address and directions will be sent to you by e-mail after you sign up using our link!
