This holiday season, give back to nature and help grow our urban forest! Join us for Treesgiving, where we’ll come together to plant trees in Cardinal Park. Everyone is welcome to dig in, get their hands dirty, and make a lasting impact on our community by planting native trees. Let’s celebrate the season by nurturing the earth!Event Details:
Event Name: Treesgiving (Tree Planting in the Park)

Volunteer Responsibilities:
Plant 15-gallon containerized trees of various native species.
Apply mulch around newly planted trees to protect and nourish them.
Work alongside parks staff to learn proper tree planting techniques that are crucial for long-term tree health.
Help clean up and ensure the park looks beautiful after the event.
What to Bring:
Work gloves (highly recommended).
Closed-toed shoes (required).
A willingness to get involved and have fun!
Tools Provided:
Planting tools (shovels, rakes, etc.)
Trees and mulch
No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and a love for the outdoors. Parks staff will be there to guide you every step of the way, so you’ll learn new skills while making a difference in our community.
