Volunteer your time with Grassroots Ecology and Peninsula Open Space Trust to help increase biodiversity in Palo Alto!
About this Event

Volunteer with Grassroots Ecology and Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) to support the expansive oak woodlands and grasslands at Pearson-Arastradero Preserve. These ecosystems are home to an abundance of wildlife, including deer, bobcats, coyotes, many species of birds and insects, and more! During our time together, volunteers will install native plants into restoration areas. We will also remove invasive weeds and carry buckets full of water and/or mulch across uneven terrain.

Visit Grassroots Ecologyโ€™s Pearson-Arastradero Preserve webpage to learn more about the ecosystem and accessibility considerations.

-

Peninsula Open Space Trust is a nonprofit land trust working to protect open spaces for the benefit of all and connect people to nature in the Peninsula and South Bay. Since 1977, POST has protected over 90,000 acres in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz Counties. Visit openspacetrust.org for more information.
