Are you looking to get involved in something and LOVE animals? Come join us for our SEPTEMBER 2025 Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, September 13th, at 10am at the shelter.
First step: Go to www.LACAC.volunteerlocal.com and complete an application prior to orientation attendance.
We're in need of dog walkers, cat cuddlers, laundry and dishwashing extraordinaires, and adoption greeters. Or if you're interested in outside ways to help support, like partnering up with our supporting non-profit, Longview PAWS, for transportation, fostering, and outreach assistance. Sunday through Saturday, morning and afternoon shifts are available.

IMPORTANT NOTES: If you are interested in volunteering at the shelter, you must fit the following criteria:
- Be at least 16 years old or older to volunteer alone, or a minimum of 13 years old supervised by a parent or guardian.
- Have a working email account.
- Be comfortable with most animals of all sizes.
- A mature, upbeat, respectful attitude is required at all times, as you are an extension of our LACAC team.
- Be willing to understand and support our mission at LACAC.
