Volunteer opportunity: Flags-Out

At Forest Home Cemetery, we honor thousands of service members with grave-side flags, from Flags-In before Memorial Day to Flags-Out after Flag Day.

Flags-Out is the easy part—and we need your help! Stop by anytime between 8 AM and 7 PM, June 15–21, and pick up any flags you see.

Drop flags in the green bag near the Halls of History (see map below). Don’t forget the sections south of Cleveland Avenue (marked in red), accessible by the bridge near Section 35.

This is a flexible opportunity—perfect if you enjoy walking the grounds or need a few extra service hours.
