Volunteer Event: Hunt Park Spring Clean Up

Join us to clean up Hunt Park by removing trash and clearing sidewalks. We will have plenty of supplies but, if possible, please bring your own work gloves and shovels.

Hunt Park is part of the Detroit Bird City project to create community greenspace with meadow habitat that benefits birds and pollinators.

Currently, Hunt Park is mostly turf grass and underused. In 2024, we planted the park with native flowers and grasses to create a beautiful meadow. We will also install a pathway, bench, and signs to welcome people into the space.

This event will be in conjuction with Asibara Forest, a project neighboring Hunt Park. We are excited and grateful to work with them!
