Join the Montgomery Historical Society for a guided living-history experience through two of downtown Montgomery’s historic cemeteries: the Old Methodist “Churchyard” Cemetery, founded in 1838, and the New Montgomery Cemetery, founded in 1868.
Costumed reenactors will bring local history to life through first-person stories based on early residents, founding families, statesmen, pioneer women, settlers, and community leaders who helped shape Montgomery and Texas history. Guests will hear about the lives, legacies, and family roots that continue to connect Montgomery’s past with the community today.
