about the workshop

We often hold our voice back, and we do it in many different ways and for a multitude of reasons. Whether we are trying to be nice and polite so we don’t add voice to experiences of pleasure, pain, contentment, frustration, we don’t make sounds crying or laughing…, maybe we don’t allow ourselves to sing, believing that we should sing better to be allowed to do it, or we maybe even don’t appreciate or value our voice on a more symbolic level believing we don’t have anything to say…
Rarely are we aware that holding our voice back also closes our hearts. And a closed heart struggles to relate... And we are relational creatures, so...
In this workshop, we will use movement to anchor our experience and exploration in an alive body. Dance that awakens, connects and realigns different aspects of our being. We will invite our heart into that dance, allowing it to soften, express, open, close, shatter, reassemble, heal… This time inviting our voice as well, with an intention to root it in the depths of our heart, thus cleaning and empowering this channel for the expressing our truth.

In the Waves map we dance to explore and heal the patterns of our movement and ways of being that we’re stuck in, moving through the shadows of resistance, rigidity, destruction, being spaced out and numb into the light of acceptance, clarity, creativity, ease and connection. In the same way dancing the maps of Heartbeat we move our emotions and patterns of the heart we’re tangled in, thus healing the wounded places and giving a permission to vibrations of Love to release the stories of the past, and once again begin performing their sacred tasks. Letting the fear awaken us and bring awareness of danger, the anger to energize us for the necessary action and defend us from attacks, the sadness to soften us, cleanse the wounds and relieve the pain, the joy to uplift us and show us the colours and humor of life, and finally the compassion to empty us and connect us with everything and everyone.

about the facilitator

Lucija Glagolić Hora is a teacher of 5Rhythms practice, a mentor and process coach for personal growth.
In the scope of 5Rhythms she finished the Waves (2007) training for working with the practice on a physical level, and Heartbeat (2014) for working with the emotional landscape of being human.
She is also a certified embodiment coach, and in her group and individual embodied process work uses principles of family constellations, applied yoga and power of presence.
In every aspect of her work there is a great emphasis on bringing the insights and teachings (out of the dance floor, or therapy room and) into our everyday lives.
