Voice Acting Workshop

Voice acting workshop! Veronica will be taking folks through a small anatomy lesson in order to help you better understand the structure that you have to work with, then we’ll get right into playing with our voices and how they move our bodies through space. We will experiment with characters and how to bring them to life!

Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).

The workshop is admission by donation! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

Transbian, DJ, Theatre School Dropout. Veronica is an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans from the culinary arts to the performance arts, with a slight dip into the material arts. Her work focuses on creativity, play, and the ways in which community inspires us.

Alcove Centre for the Arts (alcoveartscentre.ca) is a charity based in Calgary, AB which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists. Alcove Centre for the Arts has two locations: Alcove Core and Alcove Beltline.

Alcove Core (244 7 Ave SW) is a Recreational Art Space open to the public providing free art supplies and instruments to stimulate creativity. The space also acts as a gathering place for workshops, community events, and social meetups. Come visit and get creative!

Alcove Beltline (1040 8 St SW) is a multi-use, flexible venue that is available to book for private or public events. If you are looking for an affordable space that has equipment rentals available, in a central location, for 75-100 people at a time, then this space may be a great fit for you!
