Join Voce, Taunton's 16 voice chamber choir, as we perform our new Spring programme. As always the line up is a glorious mix of styles with something for everyone.Pieces from the classical choral realm include Palestrina's Sicut Cervus, Allegri's Miserere Mei and Lux Aeterna by Elgar. We are revisiting some old favourites like Rachmaninov's haunting Bogoriditse Devo and Paul Mealor's divine Locus Iste.
Our foray into the modern musical world will bring you arrangements of Snow Patrols' Run, Daisy The Great's Record Player and The Beegee's How Deep Is Your Love. We'll be treating our new line up of basses to the fantastic One More Pull, The Wellermen's rousing sea shanty.
As ever, we aim to bring you something quirky too, so get ready for a madrigal version of a Spice Girls chart topper!
Doors open half an hour before the concert starts. There will be an interval with a bar serving wine, hot and cold drinks - cash or card accepted.
