Not being heard is frustrating. But learning to project in a healthy way (without being "too loud") is not only possible, but quite easy when you have the right techniques.
In this interactive workshop, you'll learn how to make your voice carry without straining. Whether you're speaking up in meetings, loud dinner parties, or on a stage, this class will help you learn to speak up in any environment.
The workshop will cover:
- how the voice works
- proper breathing for speech
- how to project without shouting
- ways to never lose your voice again
We're never explicitly taught how to speak - which means many of us pick up bad habits along the way! Let's restore your speaking voice to its most healthy, most effective sound.
The workshops in this series are designed to stand alone - so even if you haven't attended other events, you won't be behind!If you have attended previous classes, this workshop will build on what you've already learned.

About the instructor:Tricia Veldman, MS CCC-SLP is a local spoken word poet and professional speech coach with over 9 years of experience helping individuals overcome their deepest fear: public speaking. Having considered herself frustratingly timid for most of her life, Tricia battled her own speaking anxiety and now has the privilege of guiding others to do the same.
