Virginia Master Naturalist monthly hike at Pleasant Grove Park

Cross Hill Trailhead. Go past the pole barn and meet us in the grassy parking area across from the big picnic shelter. Beat the heat with a morning walk in the woods. The Cross Hill Trail gives us a chance to explore the forest in mid-summer; which trees grow in this part of the park, what plants live underneath the trees, and clues to who lives here. We will walk about a mile on this trail with gentle slopes and some irregular footing but is almost entirely in the shade.
